OF A PERSONAL NATURE

On this trip, I have acquired many new skills , that have helped Jim and myself.
One is videography, having captured the inductive seminars live, so to speak,, with no retakes, and capturing the enthusiasm of those participating in their language. These video clips taken in Mynmar , 3 different locations.

Have also videoed the worship in
Mynmar and Kathmandu , Nepal.

I hope to use such for our Mission table, rallying yet , those undecided towards the impact of our work and more mission partners with PTA.

I have had the pleasure of reading (audio books) 3
Books on this trip, Autobiography of
Benjamin Franklin, to wit I found not only delightful and informative, but savvy in his practical applications in life.
Next, the classic, uncle toms cabin, poignantly written.
Lastly , 1776, a Pulitzer Prize winner o
And a disturbing and profoundly well written rendition of our War for Independance.

The beginning of the year I asked the Lord to bless me in my Portrait Painting. I want to be able to depict these exotic people's in their perspective cultures for my art.
I painted from memory, a
Papuan , from Papua new Guneia
Where we were 2 years ago.

This painting will be in my South Pacific Art show this Fall.

BEAUTIFUL FEET, FEAT

" how beautiful are the feet those
Who bring Good news "

We are now on the last leg of our journey homeward. It has been a very long and beautiful journey.
Teaching young pastors how to better understand the Bible through the Inductive Method will change their lives.
While this may not be immediately of interest it becomes so when you realize that knowledge brings freedom. These Christians come out of Hinduism but
With little or no skills in understanding and applying the Bible to their lives.

Our last evening in Nepal, we were introduced to 2 soccer sports missionaries,, one who played Professionly . His name is Aaron Tredwell and he played against Manchester united David Beckham.
We had a dinner with them and a nice conversations.
In fact, he is standing next to Jim in the photos.

We are homecoming to family, stories, laugher, hugs and grandchildren.

Cycles Of Uncertain Change ; NEPAAL

THe stage of Social Unrest is set, and various props are in play.
Today, Police were ready at their Posts in the event the staged sTrike evolved into mayhem.

Today's strike is composed of several volatile issues; these being of an ethnicity issue. Arian and Mongol , plus an unsettled merging Maoist Controlled Government with a percent of Nepalese who wish to return to a Monarchy.

Hindus are suffering and struggling
In the midst of an unsettled existence.
Christians here are strong in fellowship
And worship, which takes on a powerful image when they sing MOUNTAINS
BOW DOWN , with the Himalayans in their foreground.

We have been available for sharing and enjoy the fellowship with these Believers

A Day of Remarkable Achievements

Faithful in their attendance and assignments, these Nepalese Christian will take with them, back to their respective villages, the skill of inductive study in the Word of God.

We are here at a very interesting time in Nepal's history.
In 2009, King SHAH, was removed from the Throne.
He abdicated peacefully and lives in private residence in Kathmandu.

Maoist Communism surged here in the early part of 2003, leaving a wake of terror and chaos.
It more or less rendered the king as a figurehead until his deposition in 2009.

Today , the communist party remains moderate, installing their Regime. In this interim, It has created
a lull allowing for a favorable time for the Christian cHurch to be Strengthened.

What a time God has provided that we might be here.
As I write, this ancient Country , numerous with rich Ethnicity, Traditions, and Exotic people groups find themselves at a vortex of strange change.

Today, they are without a. Constitution, or a Bill of Rights.

Up to now, human rights have been summarily violated as a way of life.
In fact, this zone we are in, had sLaves that were used by the wealthy to work their land .
The church in Kathmandu bought freedom for many. .

There is tangible joy expressed today July 19th for life's simple pleasures.
Food being prepared, pleasant cool weather after the morning shower, and fellowship together.

In a depressed Hindu Country, Life is rich when Jesus is on The Throne.

Seminar in Straw, Mud andCow Dung home

This day, July 16 2012, is the first day of inductive Training in this very depressed and remote zone of Nepal.

This Country was formerly a Hindu kingdom, and the king, a reincarnation Of their deity .
Now Christians, who are only .5 percent of the total, are free to gather and worship and come together for training .
As this day advanced in hours, the heat increased to a sweltering 100f I am sure. For the day we arrived it was 93 and seemingly much easier to bear.

This village is surrounded by farmers rice fields and wind breaker trees. There is one dirt road in, and presumably, the same one out. village life is extremely well received for the teaching of the Lord
Jesus.
Worship was uniquely a fascinating blend of Nepalese that includes tribal drums and tambourines.

Pleasant Winds Of Sandlewood

We slept like babies last bight to rain fall and the ever present scent of Sandlewood entering in on the wind.
Today is Sunday, the 15th and we are ib route to Dhangardhi.

After an hour flight , we came out of the clouds to a farmed land. In fact rice fields lined the airstrip. Mango, papayas, banana are the fruit harvest. Various orchards look like thick woodlands from the air.

Temperature is 93,humid and will characteristically rain by nightfall.
We are tucked into the nicest accommodations available .
Seminar begins tomorrow in this once Hindu Kingdom, where Christians await good sound teaching.

For a Country that has been an International destination for Tourists and Travelers, there is no trace of the wealth that has been incurred from the industry of Tourism .

. We are now in DHANGARDHI., Nepal. We will be here for a few days then back to Kathmandu.

Breakfast in Kathmandu Nepal

On our approach here, cumulus clouds
Reaching into lofty heights far above, beyond and encompassing our flight as we flew into Nepal. From 15,000 thousand feet the Country below appeared as an emerald, crowned twithin billowy white clouds.
I feel like I am in one of the exotic far corner of the world. We are blessed.
Work begins today.
